Transforming Assets into Business Advantage

Waterfront Container Leasing Co., Inc., purchases Rental4000 to manage its container fleet

Real Asset Management (RAM) is delighted to announce that Waterfront Container Leasing Co., Inc., a leading marine transportation leasing services company, headquartered in San Francisco, has purchased the Rental4000 solution to manage its fleet. Waterfront, established in June 1983, buys, sells, owns, manages and leases marine dry cargo containers, refrigerated containers, open tops, flatracks and chassis to ocean carriers worldwide. In addition to the USA, it also has representation in Europe, South America, Australia, Taiwan, Vietnam, The Philippines, South Korea, Hong Kong and China.

"I am very pleased to commence the partnership with Waterfront, "declared Keith Dolby, RAM's managing director. "It is an excellent name to add to our customer portfolio and with over 45 years of experience in the leasing industry between us, I am confident that the new system will have a very positive and significant impact on Waterfront's business processes."

Alan Wong, Waterfront's vice president of operations explained why RAM was chosen as its preferred solution. "Enquiries amongst known industry users revealed a high level of satisfaction with the Series4000 software. Subsequent discussions with the RAM management team confirmed the similarities between Rental4000's functionality and Waterfront's requirements. The fact that it has been specifically designed for the container industry," continued Wong, "deemed it superior to any other offerings we looked at, which would have required a significant amount of customisation."
